About OrbitRoam
OrbitRoam is an independent editorial site about staying connected while you move — travel eSIMs for your phone and satellite internet for everywhere mobile networks don't reach. We write for the people connectivity actually gets hard for: travellers and digital nomads across Europe, van-lifers and overlanders, sailors and liveaboards, and remote workers who can't rely on a fixed line.
Who edits this site
OrbitRoam is edited by Stephan Kulik, a private individual based in Cyprus. He researches and writes the guides and comparisons and is responsible for the site's editorial standards and corrections. You can reach the editor via the imprint.
How this site is funded
Through affiliate and referral programs run by some of the eSIM providers and gear brands we cover. When you buy or sign up through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — and with eSIM referral links you often get a discount you wouldn't get signing up directly. Money never changes a recommendation: our methodology is published, and a product we consider a poor choice is described that way whether or not a program exists. See the full affiliate disclosure.
What we will never do
- Publish "hands-on" or "tested" claims about hardware or plans we have not actually used.
- Quote a plan, price, speed or coverage figure without checking it against the provider's own source first, with the date shown.
- Invent reviews, testers, statistics or credentials.
- Imply an affiliate relationship we don't have — for example, Starlink has no publisher affiliate program, and we never pretend otherwise.
